For sale is one pair of cast iron vintage Iron Boots for strength/resistance/weight training. These boots have no brand name on them. Each boot weighs about 5lbs 12 oz, and has a just under 1.5" diameter width-wise tubular hole through which a barbell can go. They are solid, but the red paint has chipped off in places from rough use apparently.
There are also what remains of leather straps that would attach the boots to your feet, and I left them on so you can see how they'd work. (The ones on them now look to me like what used to be on roller skates when I was little.) I would suggest replacement with nylon straps/buckles if you wish to use these for exercise. I understand that these have become somewhat of a collector piece, so if you're not going to work out with them, they'd make a great display item for your gym.
My uncle gave these to me when I was a teen in the late 1970s, in pretty much the exact same condition. I've kept them because they were a gift, but I never did use them. As he was about sixty years old then, I can assume these boots are from the 1930s-1940s.
I'm asking $45. I live in Erie and will gladly meet with you at the Millcreek Mall. Cash only.
